Returns & Refunds Policy:

At Storybook Darlings, every item is made just for you. Because of this, our return policy is a little different from traditional retail.

1. Made-to-Order Items

All items are made-to-order through our print-on-demand partner. This means:

  • Items are not pre-stocked
  • Orders go into production shortly after being placed
  • We are unable to accept most traditional returns

2. Returns & Exchanges (Limited Eligibility)

We do offer returns and exchanges in select situations, outlined below.

Eligible for Return or Exchange:

  • Items that arrive damaged
  • Items that are defective
  • Items that are incorrect (wrong item sent)

Eligible for Exchange (Case-by-Case):

We may offer exchanges for:

  • Sizing issues (if unworn/unused and approved)
  • Order concerns where a resolution is reasonable

Exchanges are not guaranteed and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis due to the custom nature of our products.

3. Return & Exchange Requirements

To qualify for a return or exchange:

  • You must contact us within [7–14 days] of delivery
  • Item must be unused, unworn, and in original condition (for exchanges)
  • You must provide:
    • Order number
    • Clear photos (if damaged/incorrect)

If approved:

  • Customers may be responsible for return shipping costs
  • A replacement or store credit will be issued once the item is reviewed

4. Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns or offer refunds for:

  • Buyer’s remorse / change of mind
  • Incorrect size ordered (without prior approval for exchange)
  • Minor print variations (color, placement, sizing)
  • Custom or personalized items

5. Production & Print Variations

Because each item is custom printed:

  • Slight variations in color, placement, and sizing may occur
  • These are normal and not considered defects

6. Shipping Issues

We are not responsible for:

  • Lost or stolen packages marked as delivered
  • Shipping carrier delays
  • Incorrect shipping addresses entered at checkout

7. Order Changes & Cancellations

Because orders are processed quickly:

  • Orders cannot be changed or canceled once submitted
  • Please double-check all details before placing your order

8. Chargebacks & Disputes

By placing an order, you agree to this Return Policy.

If a chargeback is initiated without contacting us first:

  • We reserve the right to dispute the claim with:
    • Delivery confirmation
    • Proof of fulfillment
    • This Return Policy
